Lithium-based Densifier and Hardener is a functional sealing material with lithium silicate as the core active ingredient. It is a water-based inorganic penetrating material and represents the third generation of concrete sealing and hardening products following sodium-based and potassium-based products. Its overall performance is significantly superior to the first two generations.

I. Basic Information and Composition
1. Appearance and Form
At room temperature, it is a colorless, odorless, transparent water-based liquid with no suspended solids. It is non-flammable, low VOC, non-toxic, and an environmentally friendly chemical material.
2. Main Components
The main raw material is an aqueous lithium silicate solution, compounded with additives such as wetting agents, defoamers, penetration promoters, and stabilizers. The active ingredients function through lithium ions and the silicate system. It belongs to silicate derivatives, together with potassium silicate and sodium silicate.
3. Basic Parameters
▪ Penetration depth: Normally 3–8 mm. It can penetrate into the interior of concrete and react, rather than forming a surface coating.
▪ Application temperature: 5–40℃. The substrate temperature should be at least 3℃ above the dew point to avoid condensation affecting the performance.
▪ Theoretical consumption: 0.1–0.2 kg/㎡ per coat. For floors with high porosity, the amount should be increased accordingly.
▪ Shelf life: 24 months when stored sealed in a cool and dry place before opening.
II. Working Principle
Lithium silicate penetrates into the capillary pores of concrete and chemically reacts with free calcium hydroxide and calcium silicate hydrate (C-S-H) in concrete to generate stable calcium silicate hydrate (C-S-H) gel.
The gel fills internal pores and blocks capillary channels, allowing loose concrete structures to form a dense and integrated whole. It achieves internal hardening, sealing, dust prevention, and water resistance. The reaction products are stable and will not peel or fall off, providing permanent performance.

III. Key Performance Features
1. Prevention of Efflorescence and Whitening
This is the greatest advantage of lithium-based hardeners compared with sodium-based and potassium-based hardeners. Lithium salts have strong chemical stability and will not precipitate alkaline salts after reaction, completely solving problems such as alkali return and white deposits on floors. It is suitable for long-term use on various indoor and outdoor floors.
2. Enhanced Hardness and Wear Resistance
It can increase the surface hardness of concrete by 35%–45%, significantly improving compressive strength and abrasion resistance, reducing hairline cracks, and extending the service life of floors.
3. Sealing, Water Resistance, and Corrosion Resistance
It seals all capillary pores and effectively prevents the penetration of water, oil stains, weak acids, and weak alkalis. It provides excellent dust-proof performance, making floors less prone to sanding and dusting, while significantly reducing daily cleaning requirements.
4. Easy Construction and Simple Maintenance
No complicated neutralization or washing procedures are required. The construction process is simpler than sodium-based and potassium-based products. After completion, the floor can naturally develop gloss, and after polishing, it can achieve an aesthetic effect similar to marble.
5. Strong Weather Resistance
It is resistant to high and low temperatures and freeze-thaw cycles. It is suitable for outdoor floors and open areas, where it is less prone to aging and cracking.
